Saw one as a frame on ebay that looked to be in great shape. I know the Grizzley is the collectible version, and Timber Wolfs were downstream a bit...anyone have any experience with them?

Bianchi ATBs are not as desirable as their road models and the Timberwolf was their bottom ATB model in the mid-1990s. MSRP was in the $250-$300 US range, depending on the exact year. Specifications vary, with frame material ranging from hi-tensile steel to plain gauge CrMo. Major components were low end Shimano, Tourney and/or Altus. Secondary and tertiary components were typically low recognition Taiwanese or Chinese brands. Basically, these were department store level bicycles but with a high profile brand name on the frame.

Not worth too much time or hassle unless it was close and somebody just gave it to you

As just a frame set not worth the cost of shipping. For me the value on the frame set would be zero it will cost more to build the bike up into something road trail worthy than it's worth.

I had a 1994 Bianchi Timber Wolf I acquired for $14.99 from the Salvation Army as a Clunker Challenge bike. I wound up fixing it and donating it back to the Salvation Army without really riding it. The components were the very bottom of what one finds on bike shop bikes, and the frame might have had one tube of chromoly, the rest being hi-ten.

the local Salvation Army store sells bikes that need complete overhauls and lots of obvious flaws for $140.99
