Thanks for the link.
I was just in Old Montreal and the university district for a week in Nov and checked out a lot of bikes in the city.
A pretty good scene going on there

I’m heading out in January, COVID willing, for my son’s birthday, and looking forward to check out the cycling scene there, so I appreciate the link, too! I have a Montreal-made T-Lab bike, and I’m hoping I can visit them while I’m there. It’ll be my first time in the city, and I’m eager for the trip!

Any talk of bicycling history and Montreal must include 60 cycles!

IKR. My only visit was during February. I don’t recall seeing one person on a bike. It was frigid with some snow two days.

That circuit has been used multiple times with some variations for many men's and women's world class races over the years. One high point was when Steve Bauer won the race held on the circuit which was later named after him. Riding the circuit can be fun, but most of the time automobile traffic can be pretty constant, so you have to pick your times. My favourite cycling race memory was watching the first ascent of the climb during the 1974 world championships as they reached the top of the climb. I could hear them shifting into their high gears to accelerate at a place where I would have been catching my breath and panting. It showed me just how strong and tough pro cyclists were
