Monthly Mileage

@TimmyT's thread on this subject specified 2015, so I guess we need a new one. So....

How many miles did you ride this month? Was that touring, commuting, or... what? How many flat tires?

My January total was 510 miles, almost half of it commuting (222 miles), the rest was a couple centuries. But no flat tires

I'll just make it over 100mi this month with a short (20-30) ride this weekend, if I'm just counting the outdoor miles. No commuting here - I'd be the hospital or worse due to a couple nasty no shoulder two-lane road sections where car commuters wouldn't be happy. The indoor stuff - well, I have no idea.
@rhm, two centuries this month up N? I'm impressed. I don't even really like 40*F, and we've been below that too often this month.

I'm pretty consistent at riding 3 times a week for a 28-30 mile ride, Mon/Wed/Fri.
So total, around 330 miles a month. That will have to go up soon if I'm going to survive my first Eroica.

I'm at about 140 miles right now, with almost no riding in the past couple of weeks due to weather, except for a snow commute on the MTB. I did get 18 miles in down in NC earlier this week while visiting my Mom. Hopefully enough of the snow and schmutz will melt off the roads by Sunday to get a few miles in. My goal for the year is 2750 miles, up 10% from 2015.

About 95 but lost about two weeks due to falling on my face after rain, was hurt and it rained for days so I was gun shy . Fixed as that's what I prefer when I ride alone.

We won't talk about it.

But I feel fit.

Start a poll?

OK: 205.79 miles

I'm off to a good February, though, 30.11 today.

I plow through the snow with a mountain bike 3 times a week. I dont keep track of miles due to the contrasting nature of the ride. Each ride is somewhere around 45min to an hour. Winter riding up here is intense right now. Add 15lbs to the bike, 10lbs extra clothing, squishy tires and snow wrestles against me every ride. But....there is nothing like riding in a snowstorm being the only one out there at night.

About 350 this month, mostly commuting, a couple of weekend rides. I really need to get some miles in the next few weeks 'cause I'm signed up for a 200k brevet soon!

I have no idea how many miles, is time OK?

If it is, I've got about 20 hours this month. I took a couple weeks off.

It's what I do. Mountain bikes in snow are an intense workout conditioner.

Not much, other than my roughly one-mile work commute. We're about to have a baby any minute (lots of projects around the house). Haven't ridden anything other than the commuter for over a month.

I'm at 631 miles so far in January with another ride planned tomorrow that will probably add 16-18 miles. More than half of my miles (382) have been from commuting, which adds about 32 miles per trip. Missed 5 days of potential riding from the winter storm, but got in my annual birthday ride of 62 miles at mid-month.

I'm just at 205 for January. February is off to a good start, but it is supposed to be unseasonably warm this week.

Uh, not as much as I'd hoped for Jan. I haven't been riding with the comp. lately, but Jan was right around 120mi I'd guess. It's supposed to be quite warm this week, so here's hoping I can make the time to get Feb. off to a good start. I'm successfully dropping some excess beer reserves - 2016 should be a good riding year if I keep up at that.

This is true, mileage is not the only indicator. I use map my ride and although it does account for calories in different types of riding, I don't think you can set for weather or difficulty. It shows elevation changes, but not sure that is taken into account.

I have tracked road and fixed, fixed runs about 1/3 or more higher in calorie burn vs. road because you never stop pedaling and of course only one gear. I haven't tried on mountain bike, but imagine it has to at least take the larger tires and weight into account.

87 miles this month. January is my traditional month to catch a virus and stay in bed for three weeks... Unfortunately this January was no exception.

162 in a cold, dark, dreary January, but on the plus side there was 5 weekends.

Being we are finally having a real winter up here at 6500ft at Olympic Valley CA I'm stuck indoors on the rollers three times a week for 30-40 miles a week

Hopefully this time next month I'll be able to get out on the weekend on road to start some mileage.
I gotta get busy if I'm gonna be ready for the 100 mile Erocia in April

My official tally for January: 130.8 miles, which doesn't include short trips such as when I use Citi Bike.

I lost my speedometer

The best I can figure is about 500 miles a month, mostly commuting.

I had one Portland to Eugene ride for about 150 miles (took the train from Eugene to Portland). My typical daily ride is about 30 miles, but only 2 or 3 times a week.

I tallied 319 miles in January and like many others the end of the month proved to be a washout because of the weather. Today was the first day back on the bike with 12 commuting miles.
