he says right in there that it was the hardest "he's ever ridden"

we're free to continue arguing.

Oh yeah, I finally got a hold of the guy who whose recumbent bits I was holding and delivered it to him yesterday. Confirmed my suspicions, he was left-hooked by a car turning through the line of parked cars. Injuries were a broken ankle, sprained wrists, and a handful of compression fractures in his back. Total bummer, but when I visited him he was in a recliner with 3 cats sleeping on him while he was pretty clearly high on whatever pain meds. Worse ways to recover I guess.

meh.

I never did the ride when I lived up there, but raced against a bunch of those guys. Beat them a few times.

People are fast everywhere.

In fact one of the fasted guys in Seattle (Richter) supposedly says "I go to Cali to get fast, then back up to WA to get hard[ened by the ****ty weather]." Or something like that.

Or do you want to have a passing contest about how only people from Alaska know what cold feels like? You're so cool.
I'm really sorry I hurt your feelings. I'm sorry you felt Arizona was somehow slighted because I've chosen not to live there. I'm sorry that you feel inadequate because the temperatures there don't get cold enough. I'm sorry, but I will have to decline your invitation to a "passing contest".

I don't like hot weather. You don't like cold weather. Not everyone likes the same environments. That was the point, which you somehow missed, and instead made it a discussion about the various micro-climates of Arizona.

Please refrain from racing in the future, as your dainty sensibilities might be offended when the pack doesn't abide by the no-drop rule.

For work this week, I get to drive around following kids home from school. I don't look sketchy at all.

(It's part of a study on whether kids look before crossing the road - they don't. Fortunately I get to drive my own car and not our centers big white van.)

Interesting.

Do you also study how drivers don't care about/see people crossing the road?

Lucky. When it's cold, I'd rather it just go ahead and snow so I can ski. If I can't ride on the road, I'd at least like to bash some plastic. November is always the longest month for me.

Life is going to get interesting!

Found myself an amazing woman who thinks I'm a fantastic guy, who would have thought that lol

She's not a cyclist, but gets the dedication since her oldest daughter was a national level swimmer and she was a junior national coach. It's going to be an interesting year for sure. Nice to find someone who is supportive and appreciates the support and love I give her.

Good times north of the 49 right now
