Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We have a Canadian neighbor who keeps 6 horses as if they were dogs. He has a great relationship with them, and they with him

Another slow one. Everybody must have become productive. Shoveling snow perhaps. Sleeping in perhaps. 77°A and heading for a high of, you guessed it, 100°. It's been quite a run.

Should be a nice day day, getting up to the low-60s. That in mind, I got clearance for a long ride from the wife yesterday.

....and before going to bed, I reviewed the calendar and saw that I have a tire/oil change appointment this morning.

Annoying. Start your ride from the shop? Or is it ever so obnoxiously timed that it ruins any option to work around it? I love it when that happens.

Same temp here today, but with a threat of rain all day. Basically how the rest of the week is forecast to play out.

I'm still failing at finding motivation to go ride. Brought my MTB to work yesterday with full intentions to ride after I clocked out, but ended up unexpectedly needing to pick up something from a store right after work and the experience totally drained me.

I've also somehow become a total weenie and won't go out when it's below 50°. I would have killed for that temperature two months ago

I'm dropping it off when they open at 8am, so maybe I'll get back home by 10am. Maybe. Then we'll see what kind of impact it's had on motivation. I might be able to get in a long ride, but then I'll feel like a dick for being away from the family all day.

Can't ride from the shop - need the cargo room for the summer tires and no bike rack.
