Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Can you still buy the rear triangle? Maybe brace it somehow? A friend bought an Intense bike cheap because the frame was cracked on the seat tube near the bottom bracket. He had the frame welded (aluminum) and was still riding it the last time I saw him.

Would anyone want to be 300 miles off shore on a sailboat with you?

Not exactly sure. I think it's a 2007,8 or 9 - would need to pore over some catalogs.

I found a crabon chainstay piece for a 2015 Stumpy at Performance bike, which may or may not work, for $300...

I'm not actually totally scared of that damage unless the alignment is way off or I can detect a crack, but replacement pieces would be nice.

Took it out just now for an easy 10 mile ride. Doctor said I would feel like death tomorrow so figured might as well try it tonight.

Not shifting well. Rubs front derailer on the big chain ring unless i’m on 10,11, or 12. shifting between 8,9 and 10 is spotty.

Bike just seems louder than I remember but maybe it’s just me.

I’m sure you can find a place on a competitor’s boat for VV. I hear he’s an excellent navigator.

I once put my name on a crew list for some regatta, recounted my many skills and qualification, and wrote that I’m such a bad tactician that if you do the opposite of every call I make, you’ll win.

I tried to find a lipstick battery at the last minute before last month’ tour. Shelves were bare.

Did they pick you?

I would have picked you. But we would have lost because I don’t own a boat.

I always stayed away from the positions that required brain power. Just tell me what to do. Was a good trimmer.

Nice day on the lawn today (for the season of death).

Multiple bluebird sightings, some of whom appeared to be hunting for insects. #Birding

Had a good ride tonight. Epic actually. Started raining on the way back. Turned into quite a scary little storm. Lots of sideways rain and super high winds, well over 30 mph. One gust took the 3 of us from 18 to 20 down to steerage. Rain ended as we arrived at the parking lot. Fun

I was going to ride the'16. But the front derailuer is not functioning. Doesn't show up on the head unit. Won't respond to pairing mode. When I push the button for pairing it immediately starts flashing orange. Effing Sram. Waiting on the company to answer my email.

The fun ends when the rain begins.
