Addiction 2021.4

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

At 70, I still see 165-166 about once a week but anything over 155 makes me feel uncomfortable. Now, if we start talking LHR, I have most people beat.

My threat was always, "Quit crying or I'll give you something to cry about."

I never understand that.

Yeah, F that noise. Only time I’ve seen guys throw up is on the first or second day of basketball tryouts. Involuntarily. Baseball players wouldn’t even dream of it.

Hmmm...I'm with you on the lack of suppleness, but I haven't felt the grippy factor. Are they holding air for you? I'm having trouble with mine again, and can't find the source of the leak. 80psi down to nothing overnight, but I can't hear anything leaking. I added another 20ml of Orange juice, and swished/shook/spun it around, but it didn't make a difference. Next step if to submerge it in the bathtub, I guess. I'm getting pretty irritated with it. Zero issues like this with the Contis. Grrr....

Cheyenne is just barely in Wyoming. You can think of it as being Nebraska or Colorado if you prefer.

There's only a three month window to safely travel anywhere out there : June - August.

Baseball players are very good at what they do, but I really don't think they're anywhere near a basketball player in regards to athleticism.

Huh, weird that you don't find them grippy; I haven't ridden the 5k TLs, but I've ridden various Black Chili Contis and they didn't stand out much in that regard. The tackiness and softness has me wondering if I can expect to get ****** mileage out of them. I guess we'll see.

And yeah, they've held air well. They dropped a little, maybe 10psi, the night after they were installed (I didn't ride/spin them extensively after installing), but I actually had to let air out this morning because they didn't drop as much as I'd wanted them to.

Velo, next Wed, I will be stopping by Knoxville on my way to Dallas. Not sure what time I’ll be arriving or what hotel I will be at yet, but I will have my Cervelo in the back of the mini van.
