Someone is spending to much time on the internet....

And there's more in transit..

I got the drive side Apex crank from an Ebay seller who had "more than 10" available.

I think the calipers are much heavier than alloy though. I am going to check to see if they are steel.

Scored a super rad Cannondale top bag for my restomod project. Came NIB with a man date of 11/82. Really hoping that FEDEX gets their heads out of their butts and finally drop off my 105 drive train for the ST600 today.

Fiona II Faggin has arrived...thinking 1981-82. Paint is lightly patina-ed, but the fork is meh in places

Typical Faggin crown and lugs...

The cool pantoed head tube...

Redrilled for recessed...

Mashed adjusters...better them than the frame.

Needs a bit of aligning...

Didn't arrive today, but about a week ago - NOS Stronglight X-15 headset. It'll go on a 1992 Diamondback Axis.

Yay, SunTour Power Shifter for Ł15 off Ebay.
My VX shifter was having problems so I ordered this as a backup, then I may have fixed the VX.

Stripped it down and cleaned and reassembled, seems to work just fine, I may have to try it anyway to see if I prefer it.
(and it's got less rust than my VX shifter)

Update: Tried them and they're damn fine shifters, they're staying on the bike.

You will prefer it. One of the best reasonably cheap shifters...

Good to hear,
all the info I read on here said they were good.
Bit of a surprise to find an all chrome one, suppose I'd better fit it then

My new vintage copy of David Gidmark's JOURNEY ACROSS A CONTINENT arrived yesterday. It was advertised as being a softcover but is a paperback.

It's an interesting story and shows that a long trip could be done on an old bicycle.

Cheers

Couple of vintage wool jerseys from Italy:

The latter is actually branded Denti, which I wasn't aware of until I received it. There's a small Denti badge on the shoulder. Funnily enough, the listing had 'teeth' in the title as Denti translates to teeth in English
