Just upgraded her. Rival 22 mini group, Blackset Race 24 wheels from Bicycle Wheel Warehouse, Prologo saddle, Hope seatpost clamp and Cannondale KnurlTack bar tape (it's nice). Dropped about 2lbs. This is my all time favorite road bike. The new rims are wider than the stock ones and when I wear these tires out I think I'm going to go with Rene Herse Bon Jon Pass 35's. Either those or Jack Brown 33.3's.
This is my first SRAM road group and I love it. Won't buy Shimano again.

Took this one out yesterday. This bike came to me in trade this year but I'm probably not going to keep it. Nice ride though but I have a better geared, lighter triple setup already.

I've got 7 bikes, plus we share two tandems. Here are the top two (by miles) for 2021:
On top of the rack is my new Bianchi Infinito (been saving up for this one for many years) - This bike has 1,400 miles since taking delivery in May. The bottom bike is a '90s Mondonico, love this bike!! but it's been over shadowed by the new Italian in the house.
The other big mile bike this year is the 2015 Surly Pugsley converted to drop-bars for gravel/adventure rides. This bike is over 1,500 miles this year including 242 miles in one DAMn ride.

Thanks,
It's a 67' but has parts on it much older, and much newer. They made these frames from 63' to at least 77'. Single speed through ten speed. This one started out as a single speed version on its way to the scrap yard.
It now weighs 27lbs, (from 34) makes no noise while riding and easily maintains 25mph
Weinmann 27" wheels from a 85 Prelude with Schwalbe Marathon green guards
175mm crank arms and cageless bearings on the crank
Japanese Chro-Mo fork
1930's Schwinn track stem
Sturmey Archer S2C rear hub
Schwinn Sprint f/sprocket and f/hub. from a 64' Continental
Geared 39/19
Painted very close to 1972 Schwinn Opaque Green.
I've been trying different handgrips, I thought green Sparkle Schwinns might be cool but it looks better with black ones.

Well, Campy is my favorite brand but I don't really like their new stuff and they're expensive. SRAM feels like Campy with firm clicks and a brake lever that doesn't move sideways. Shimano shifts really soft. I like the location of the rd limit screws and I like the Yaw front derrailluer that rotates so you don't get any chain rub. And overall it just looks to have a better quality. I don't know what the exact brake cable pull ratios are between them all, I know they're different, but my brakes feel more powerful. And my hands like the brake hood design, I'm not getting numb fingertips.

Correct its an 85, I think its mostly original. Interestingly there is no serial number on it....I am told it may have been a promotional model. Anyway love riding it.

I'm 59 and still love to ride me some singletrack. I just bought my dream mountain bike and I'm planning to keep hitting trails as long as my body can take it. Here's my shiny new Ibis Mojo 4.
