Recently acquired Eddy Merckx

Hi folks, I've just picked up a Eddy Merckx locally. I bought it from a friend of the fellow who originally owned and raced it in the 80's. (Provincially (BC)and nationally).
I'm still not sure of the model, there is limited info on the bb. 5 for 55cm and Z for 1985ish but then only 4092. The tubing decal only says Columbus without any further designation. Any ideas of what I have? I don't yet have enough post to upload any photos.
Not worries, it's a great riding bike!

Eddy Merckx ID

Hi All,

Any help identifying model, year and any other information is much appreciated. Drive side is a single "P", non-drive side there is an "F" and under that the numbers "6917". Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your time. Very helpful information. Any idea what the name on the top tube signifies? "da Perugia"?

Yes, this is "da Perugia".
EMC used to put customer names in a different place - on the back of the top tube.
In the inscription of EDDY MERCKX there is a very unusual "E"
A very interesting copy - it certainly did not leave Meise in 1995 in this condition.
Unique

Another bike for you

Caloi labeled EM

motorola team stickers and paint with Sean Yeats sticker. And number tag braze on.

I believe based on your other details that this is a 94.

P drive side
F 1197

Bike is in very good condition but not sure it was used. I believe Sean was riding the lightspeed bike by then but may have been used in early season classics. Haven’t found a conclusive photo of Sean and this bike.

D1X B4845 ~early summer 1989
P F1197 ~spring 1994
Trouble is, team sponsor Caloi didn't "exist" then - it wouldn't appear until fall 1994.
The frame could have been repainted before the 1995 season and then used for racing or training.
Litespeed did not build frames for Motorola, they did it at Merckx in Meise.

Without pics it's hard
Frame built in autumn 1984
...and this is all the information.
To choose from:
- Pro SLX
- Pro 753
- Professional
- noCorsa
- 3-Athlete
All of these models could have had these markings....

- what is the inscription on the dropouts?
- Do the lugs have cut-outs?
- What are the frame colors?

Update

Color is white/cream with red on the seat tube. Drop outs have Merckx on the top Eddy on the bottom. All components are Campagnolo and Cinelli is stamped on the handlebars.

I always been into British bikes and just recently dipped my toe in Belgian cycles. Could you please help me to decode this frame? Thanks a lot for your community service!

Thank you so much! I decided to get this frame and build it up. According to BB it's a 57cm frame but it measures 58 C-t-T. Every manufacturer has their own way of measuring frames looks like.
