B-day ride yesterday...You just never know.
So, yes I turned 59 yesterday. When I got up, the weather was a bit cool for Tucson, and it was bit breezy, so I figured I'd wait a day or two.
Around 10 am the wind died back, so I threw on my shorts, jersey, tights, a long sleeve shirt, and hit the road. I was thinking all along I'd see how it went with the wind.
I ended up doing 66 miles on a day when I wasn't going to ride at all.

We all sympathize .... but I hope you make it through this and get back to watching the weather from the couch.
Sixty-six miles .... and in under 60 years! A new PR!
Which bike did you ride?
Oh ... grats on not dying for so long, and well ... no sense congratulating you for riding, that's its own reward. Happy days further!

EXCELLENT BDay ride. Always fun when the originally planned distance turns out to be less than actually accomplished.
I always went by the rule of "No Banking Allowed" since at our age next year's ride is less likely a given. That's also why I commit to the age x 2 ride.

Happy Birthday and congrats on the 66 mile ride. I've been doing birthday/mile rides around here for my fifty year buddies but good Tuscon weather is sure a plus.
