Hello from Vermont!
Fledgling bike enthusiast here, saying hello!
I’m in Vermont, and have been close friends with a guy who owns a bike shop for 12 years. As I’m sure happens all the time in this situation, he gave me the bike bug. I think it’s the only thing I would never be embarrassed about collecting. I do now realize that space quickly becomes a problem.
I’ve been learning to rebuild bikes with Tim a.k.a. Mr. Bicycle in Vergennes VT for the last handful of years, concentrating mostly on Vintage steel road and 3 speeds, with many random things thrown in. I also now do electric conversions for those who can no longer use a regular bicycle.
Although I know very little overall about the many vintage options out there, I’m super curious! I loooove hunting down a good vintage deal. Im not picky, I don’t care what a bike is worth for the most part, it’s just about falling in love with each one and giving it another life
bikes I ride:
Norco Monshee handmade road w/ black dura ace
Indian princess converted to 7 speed internal
Fuji Finest w/ suntour cyclone m-2
Lotus (unknown model) black frame gold decals shimano 600
raleigh Mountain Tour Teton (electric conversion)
My garage, in addition, now has 23 bikes that need work before being ridden, plus two functional loaners. It’s getting out of hand for the tiny house I’m in…
Happy to officially say hello to you all!
