I enjoy the contradictory tone of this one: "help, help: I need garage space!" and "MY PRICE IS FIRM, NOT A PENNY LESS" all for a crackly-tired department store crud bike.

Nothing too wacky here aside for a bad price on a dual suspension bike with a saggy fork. Then I saw it- THE GIANT, GOOFY RED STEM. But this was the only picture!

Cannondale - $400 (Anoka, MN)
https://tinyurl.com/4x45b6ea

I needed to see what it looked like from the front, and a little google searching rewarded me with this:

Absolutely hideous!

They're stainless steel bolts, so I don't think so. You could superglue diamonds in there though (and you probably should as a security measure, otherwise any passing bike aficionado with a hex wrench is likely to steal your super-valuable stem!)

Since those bolts look essential you could instead dremel out in the tooth area and install your LEDs there, give it a fo-shizzle grille like rappers have.

This frame has adjustable stack and reach. Land some big jumps to decrease the reach. Hydraulics or maybe a good car jack to increase it. There may be a limit to how many times you can adjust it however!

Its funny but those stems are out of production and you could probably get $100 for it at least which that explains the price.

I was actually referring to it saying that it used to be his family member, rather than that it used to belong to his family member/used to be his family member's...

This is kind of a new take on the aspirational advertising thing, I guess.

The bikes in the ad mostly look like this:

The New Yorker (my favorite magazine, BTW) has a rich history of covers that are bicycle themed.
Over the years, friends have given me four of them, which are nicely framed and hanging in the den.
