Water is probably the most social element in nature. Often watering down outdoors courses is a more complex solution than it would appear. Especially when they are already wet or watered down by other elements.

Now that I have been up, I recall hearing that this is a CO thing because ski resorts are a great "off-season" privately owned venue for both MTB and cx. Many have snow making machines and water sources. They are pretty setup to spray the hill/mountain. I'm sure erosion is an issue, and not sure how they deal with that.

No, everything from indoor arena monster truck shows to constructing an earth trail relies on water to set the soil.
I have no interest whatsoever in CX as it exists in the US. Turning it into a looped track festival environment works very well in Europe where the major elements can still be incorporated from its days of long hilly routes over rough terrain. A few dumptrucks of completely unusable large grain sand in IA makes a tryhard imitation not a CX course. This is the exact same problem Europe/Africa/Asia have with mtb's that evolved on a completely different continent.

Technically BF is a comment section so one would be required to turn off all messaging options, log out, and refrain from visiting the site.

I want to buy a baseball cap to wear around work of something cycling. Simple like the sram frog or usac symbol would be great. I can't find any.

Specialized has a bunch of hats on its website: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/me...onalfit/131216
There are a lot of Shimano options: https://www.google.com/search?q=shim...w=1382&bih=669
The Sram frog is hard to find. My wife wanted one but Sram wouldn't help her out. They offered to sell her a non-frog hat.
I have a USAC hat that I got for winning a race.
I also have a Cannondale hat I got from the local rep.

Local Saturday morning ride here is a small fast group of mostly regulars. It's technically a drop ride, but it's not like we read new guys the rules or whatever, because they tend to self-drop pretty fast if they can't keep up.
This morning a new guy showed up and for a little while was in that awkward spot where he was off the pace but still in sight. We waited for him and that's usually when guys with any self awareness are like "go on ahead." Instead he said "hold up!" and dashed into some tall grass and took a dump. We were like uhh... and he then ran back out and said "let's go!" At the top of the next hill he was off the back again but still not quite totally dropped, we had a brief conversation about whether to just ditch him, this time he dropped his bike, yelled "just a minute!" and ran to a tree about 6 feet from where we were standing and proceeded to take more dump. I said "buddy, maybe we'll just see you around" and we left.
