Terrific photo, Olds.
Is that the bike you recently restored?

Did you mean "bone shaker" or BoneShaker?

I just don't understand why we can't all go back to those pre-covid days when all the trolling on the C&V board revolved around the sale of empty boxes. Remember that? A simpler time.

Right? I mean, would it kill someone to do a fake movie tribute bike?

I'm hard pressed to believe that was even trolling! But judging by the length of the thread......

I prefer to discuss the evils of assploding crabon fiber. Or the evils of batteries and shifting. Or waxing nostalgic on C&V trolling.

I use the wax that you peel off of cheese. Dutch cheese for Dutch bikes, Vermont cheese for gravelbikes, and French cheese for randonneuses. The funky smell deters theft also. Chains are expensive these days!

Beeswax. It burns more when it's melted over the troll. Makes them yell louder and causes their bones to shake.

That's what the point of this thread is, right?

Can you buy that? Collect it door-to-door? I'm just assuming you don't make enough yourself. Of course, I don't want to sell you short on any personal talents...

You’d be surprised how willing people are to offer up their supply, along with belly button lint. I’m making a sharp tunic out of the latter, meant for looking good while riding my bone shaker.

Its actually a suspension bike, well, the seat is suspended, by the shackle that comes up from the rear axle.

So does that make this bike peak full-suspension?

Gotta tell the downhill guys that they're doing it all wrong!

With enough surplus earwax you can waterproof that tunic for wet weather riding.

And @scarlson, and @cudak888 can get together and market their Kurt & Carlson's Beeswax/Cheesewax organic, edible, survivalist all purpose lubricant. I bet Rivendell would pick that up.
