Evaluation request 1986 DeRosa

mad = 3rd attempt.
here’s pics - will come back with details when I calm down.

Your estimated selling prices appreciated

Phew! OK.
HISTORY: I purchased this bike from a bike shop mechanic in Seattle whose wife just had a 2nd baby and he had to thin the herd. He bought it from 'a guy in California'. The only thing I have changed = stem and bars. Were Modolo, now Cinelli. Oh, and chain/fw/tires. And I usually rode it with a different saddle.
DESCRIPTION: 1986 DeRosa, SLX, flat crown fork with CdA complete group, 6 speed 'indexed' with delta 'brakes'. Turbo Super saddle, GP4 rims, wearing Conti 22mm Sprinters. The hoods are still almost supple, the saddle has scuffs but fully respectable as a rider (preferably not me), original brake pads. New cables, housing, bar tape with fairly recent change to Cinelli bar/stem. Decals and chrome are very good. Paint has chips, mostly on seatstays from storage (me and prior owner). Paint wear from frame pump came with the bike. No dents.

Size is 60cmX58cm (ctc) with 18.5cm head tube. Bars are 38cm ctc at the drops. 11cm stem (which is not period correct) but easily swapped.

Almost all original

these below pics taken yesterday with another rear wheel in place.

I would think $1200-1300. Your stuff is always in such great shape, and Delta’s will increase interest. Pretty color, too- like a cornflower blue?

Those Croce d'Aune rear derailleurs always look like they have a broken top pivot housing. Brake are the CdA version of Delta too.

These brakes will easily accommodate 28mm tires. Heresy to run wider than 25mm.

oh pshaw - everything is rider quality. Scratches and such. I was hoping more like $1500 (firm) with pedals, cages, recent tune-up, good tires, original saddle and ready to ride.

I think your price is spot on for hotter bike markets. I am in the SF Bay Area and I would think you could get that price or very close, maybe a bit more with some patience.
Personally I dig it, very nice DeRosa with great patina from bieng enjoyed.

Very pretty bike. Would think you could get $1200, maybe more. The frame and the Croce d'Aune Deltas are the hot tickets. Campy aero seatpost would help if you wanted to get picky.
