ebike, it’s not a motorcycle

My bbshd Bafanged bike sure feels like a motorcycle sometimes and I’ve been riding it like one with 95% dirt riding but I’m now on my third derailleur, second hanger and one wheel rebuild primarily from sticks going into the drivetrain. So now I’m looking for an IGH wheel that isn’t in the $2000 range of a Rohloff and I don’t think such a thing exists that can handle the bbshd torque and be able to get low gears. I looked at Enviolo but I don’t think it’ll go low enough. I’m in steep terrain and don’t really need to be flying up trails at high speed. If anyone knows of another igh I’m all ears.

Unfortunately, with mid-drive system, your drivetrain is only as strong as your weakest link, whether it be in the chain, derailleur, hanger or even wheel.

Combo of IGH with motorcycle chain may be more reliable than bicycle chain.

IGH tech is still developing to accommodate the power output of these new mid-drive motors.

This came out last FEB. I wonder if it has any further development since:

The only thing I want is a mag wheel ebike with a rear hub motor that does about 100nm plus,... Speed isn't a factor, hill climbing ability is paramount.

When I bring the bike into Queens, NY there's a ton of hills. LoL! I have no intention of staying local this year. Life is short, and I plan on enjoying it while I'm still able to.

My in-laws are in Forrest Hills, I ride to them a few times a month.
Riding up a hill that's about 1/4 mi. long, 5-9% gradient, hauling myself (180 lb.) with maybe 20 lb. additional or cargo.
750w hub motor with PAS level 2 or 3, while cruising at 12-14 mph on the Fiido T1.

You might read ElectricBike-blog.com; Karl Gesslein built a powerful system in 2016 or so using a Nexus 3-speed IGH and had good success with it. The middle gear is direct drive and can take a lot of torque if the individual shifts carefully, per Karl.
