I bought a hard mount, and put it on one of my bikes with a round seat post. I’ve never removed it because I always have something more important to work on…but it does hit the inside of my left leg from time to time. Totally agree, the rubber bands (O-rings) work great, and replacements can easily be sourced for them. I’ve never had one break, but I also check them for wear.

Yep. I rode with it today -- since the screw goes in on that side, it does protrude a bit. I moved it down the seatpost, which prevents the thigh contact. But it's an inelegant solution. The standard o-ring mount is smaller, lighter, and easier to install and move around.

I like to keep mine low, just above the seat post clamp, as it helps keep the seatpost from slipping down slightly over the course of days or weeks. Not having that little screw stabbing me in the leg is also a bonus, and it allows me to keep my saddle bag in place.

Does anyone here have the bag clip mount for the 515? If you do how do you like it.

What bag-clip mount?

Do you have a link?

I made my own with an extra Edge mount and the rubber bands and two zip ties to add confidence. It works ok, but I have to hold the plastic mount when I attach a radar. Also a bag is going to move around a bit, and some are not very rigid.

On my fourth Amazon search, I finally found it (I think).

Amazon link

$24

How do you like it (assuming it arrived when claimed)?

Thumbs up

The mount works perfect. I have it on my seat bag. I am also very happy with the performance of the 515 Radar. Well worth buying..

I run one of these of all my bikes (inc the the children tag along).

Battery wise, I get 3 to 4hours maxin summer (even when new) and 1 to 1.5hrs in temperatures closed to 0°C
