Any thoughts on a $45.00 American Eagle brand?
Looks like low end stuff, but I don't know much about them.

I think American Eagle was a re-brand from Nishiki. I see barcons but can't tell if it's a claw hanger for the RD or a brazeon mounting. Wonder if it was their "Semi-Pro" modeland if so, that might put it on par with the latter Nishiki Semi Pro?? At $45 I definitely would look (or ask for a close up). Hopefully the rusted chrome on the forks is only on the surface.

Not so much a "re-brand" but the original name the Importer used before deciding a "Japanese" name was not such a market detriment, hence: "Nishiki" (type of brocaded fabric, also name of a river). This certainly looks like it could be similar to the "Semi-Pro" which was built with some sort of chrome-moly tubing, thought to be equivalent to Tange Champ #4 or #5. Had forged SunTour DOs and nice Maeda group components, but was not particularly lightweight. For $45...sure, why not? Not sure about that stem, tho: might be non-OEM.

It may be a Mavic TDF neutral support bike. IIFC, Cannondale supplied the frames one year during the 1990s.

This one has been listed for several weeks. I listed it on 13 Sep but still 0 bids. Price was $99, then $89, maybe I missed a reduction but now at $67.49. I think you can do a lot worse for $67.49 in LA judging from what we see on here
Pick up only at the below address:
