405 bridges and LW Northgate

Good news is that Leisure NorthGate access is full again, so its a great connection from Seal Beach blvd to the SGRT.
Going south on SB Blvd over the 405, it was a thrill to look west and see cars coming/going to LW Northgate.

On the other hand, the north-south transit over the 405 is bad and getting worse. The Edwards bridge over the 405 is still closed, and now there is word that the Springdale bridge will be demolished and unusable.

Having to detour from Edwards east to Golden West bridge to go over the 405 is very lame.

Cheers,

The worst part about the 405 rebuild is the agency formed to do the project (405 Partners) does not put information on the closures/re-openings, bridge tear downs and nearby street closures on their website, even on a periodic basis (such as weekly updates for the following week). Apparently its too much of a hassle to deal with bureaucratic permissions and a 'webmaster' (even on a weekly basis?), so you have to get on an email list they publish to get periodic updates. And that list is somewhat limited to other public agencies and emergency services agencies (police, fire, etc). Really lame for those of us who live, work, bicycle nearby, or regularly use the 405 freeway through Orange County.

Edwards is now open.
According to the Bridges Status page below, Edwards 405 bridge is open. I didn't try to ride it yet.
Overview - Construction

The Leisure World North-gate pedestrian gate was closed for over 1 year as implied from this page:
https://www.lwweekly.com/2020/07/15/...n-gate-closed/

I ride Holder/Edwards south during busy months of the year like August (Surfing Open). Catch it at Ball/Holder in Cypress then get Edwards south at GG Blvd.
