Tall Bob Jackson for sale

This is an early 1970's Bob Jackson, frame made with Reynolds 531 double butted tubes with Campagnolo dropouts. Built up with an eclectic component group including Campagnolo hubs, Shimano derailleurs, Suntour power-ratchet shifters, Weinmann brakes, Sugino forged crankset, Simplex seat post, Ideale saddle. All in great working order.

Asking $400, buyer arranges shipping. Willing to consider deals for less than the entire bike. Note, pedals are not included, mounted for test rides only.

This bike is tall, 62.5 cm center to center with a 58cm top tube, 34" - 35" standover. Good for riders 6'2" or taller, or those with long legs.

Details and lots of pics:

Holy poop, that's tempting. My first truly good bike was a Bob Jackson of similar vintage (red in all the places yours is green and and white in all the places yours is white) that I built up with the kind of eclectic collection of parts that only a desperate teenager with limited funds can dream up. Some anus cookie stole it out of my garage c.1994 - I still wish horrible things on him (almost certainly a "him.").

So, somebody please buy this before my nostalgia overwhelms my better judgment and lack of storage space. Consider this a free bump, VRJAKE. Kind of doing us both a favor.

Gorgeous bicycle. If it was a tad smaller I'd buy it in a New York minute.

Technically not my size, but I could ride it. I am happy with the two I have. Good luck with the sale.
And green is my favorite color.

Surprised this is still here I'd have pulled the trigger were it not several sizes too large for me.

We've had a few inquires but no commitment yet. Bumping to emphasize that if a buyer doesn't want the complete bike, willing to deal for just frame or frame plus some components. If just a frame, we'll find a box and do the packing for no charge, but buyer is still responsible for arranging shipping.

So, are you buying it or just test riding it?

I hope you're buying it and putting a fair number of us out of our collective misery.
