Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I commute out for work tomorrow. Gunna squeeze a ride in before that. Depending on how early i wake up will be the deciding factor. 75 won’t be happening though.

waiting for the fog to lift so I can go for a ride. It wasn't forecast to be foggy but had been forecast to be fine and warmish.

Only the road world champ can wear a world champ jersey on a road stage, the TT world champ wears it on a TT stage.

Too many miles for me. I typically do 50 on Weds, 80-100 on Saturdays, and 40-50 on Sundays.

You have a family and a real job. I have a broken brain and one of the last stable jobs in the world.

Understood.

Speaking of broken brain, my sister has a brain injury and is staying with us for awhile. She is plugged into outpatient rehab/therapy and had 2 hours/week each of physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. The therapists tell us she is improving, and we see that, but her improvement is painfully slow and in she is very unaware of so much. We hope she improves enough by the end of the summer to move back to her place, maybe with some help.
