I may need to take this to the snowblowers fourms, but let's start here.
My snowblower has developed a problem. Blower is about 15 years old, but the problem only started 2 years ago. It starts up fine and runs for maybe 1 minute. Then dies. Restarts fine. Dies again. I cleaned out the fuel line. Still happens. It has electric start so I have to use it in 60 second increments and restart, which is a royal PITA.
Last winter I didn't need it so I did not mess with it. A week ago I started it up and took it up/down the driveway for several minutes and it worked great. Problem solved, so I thought.
Nope, trying it in today's snow same thing happens. Maybe worse. Runs for maybe 1 minute at idle before it dies. Only 20-30 seconds of active use.
Any suggestions??

Datlas- living in Louisiana I don't have experience with snow blowers, but my weed eater started acting up like this a few years ago. I replaced the carburetor (a 15 minute job), changed the fuel line as a precaution, and switched to an ethanol-free mixture. Problem solved, haven't had an issue since, and spent maybe $60. Hope this helps in some way.

GP5k two-packs on sale at PBK for $75 - supposedly only a 2-hour sale. https://www.probikekit.com/bicycle-t.../12004047.html
I burned through some Vitorias last year that were better than the maxis tires, but they were like flat magnets.
Why?...Why do 5000's have to be do expensive? Its like buying fire wood. I might as well just burn the money .
$75.00 is a good price, but I used to get a pair of 4000's for $65.00 delivered regular price.. The good old days.

A lot of people say they can't tell a difference from one tire to the next. I have to say I can. If I ride anything but connti's I feel like I'm wasting effort. I rode a bunch of different tires last year, all with the same results. The closest I've come for an alternative tire are some Chinese tires that were half the price. They had 120 tpi. Everything else is 60 this. 4000's and 5000's are 300tpi. I think that is the secret.

Well I guess they liked about that 2-hour part.
(I don't pay much attention to Conti pricing because I can't use em.)
Forget quarantine fatigue - I've got "sale" fatigue. It's hard to take 80% of the sale advertisements seriously from Halloween through New Years.

If that snow blower were a car, I would be looking at the fuel tank pick up for clogs. As it sucks fuel, it will gather debris, once it shuts off, the suction is gone and the debris falls away. Rinse and repeat. Since it's not a car, I would look for something sort of like that.
My snow blower is electrical, and it has no fuel, hose, or suction.

"Flat magnets" - that describes the Vredesteins I used to ride, years ago. Great tires, supple even at 130 psi. Flatted all the time, and all too often a pothole would ruin the casing. But they were nice riding. I've been enjoying the GP5000s that came on the Canyon, but I run plain old GPs on the other 3 bikes.

I plan for spring training on some of the tires I bought to try out last year (there's a pile of them) Then switching back to the 5000/4000's. I also have some ultra Sports, and another continental, thats similar , ultra something.. I'll try those for a while too.. I could put those detonator back on, they still look like brand new. They wear and ride like iron.

I'm using an old Ultra Sport with a flattened center as my trainer tire. Works well, doesn't slip, and it's essentially free, since I was going to chuck it out. I thought about getting one of those colorful trainer tires, but they cost as much as I can get GP5000 on sale for!

Thanks for the snowblower tips. I had been fairly sure it was water or debris or some other issue with the fuel line.
What really perplexes me is how it worked FINE for 5 minutes or longer UNDER LOAD a week ago when I was playing with it, but is back to its old habits when I need it. It is a little colder now but conditions not all that different.

Yikes - I thought I was bad. Is this wearing them down or is this an average factoring catastrophic cuts, etc?

The Kickr Snap is already so quiet I'm hearing mostly chain noise. And fans, of course.
