Hey SpedFast thanks for the reply,
Well, even though I'm much older I plan on joining a local club first. and doing some group rides I can find, along with whatever I ride from the house.
Been riding since June on an old mtb bike, but also have a road bike ready to go once I loose another 20lbs.

Ride as often as you get the chance, even around the block if nothing else and before you know that 20lbs will be in your rear view and not your rear. Good luck,

SpedFast,
Thank you, yes that is the routine, trying to get my aerobic engine back and just build a base so when the big rides here TX crank up I'll be ready.

Steph1,
It's not bad pretty hum drum, average for a small Texas town.
The actual name is Waxahachie, TX, But I like the translation from indigenous, which equates to "Cow Creek"
Thanks

Sorry if I may have misled you, its a common name in this area lots of businesses use it some even interpret it to mean Buffalo.
