Fourth was another moment of wonder a 1972 Sannow Sport:

Close eyes will note as in the bike above that there are changes from it's found condition, the lugged Nitto stem to give me the reach I needed to ride, smaller big chain ring for my knees as well as SPD pedals and a change out from the vintage seat to my butt loves it Selle Italia seat (some will note that the vintage seat has not been sold off or put into spares, but now holds pride of place on the Grail "H. Hagiwara" - erba, match made in heaven a THE racing seat on a custom one of race bike. For more information and pictures of the Sannow Sport (it's original 40 year old paint cleaned and polished up like new, ditto the chrome plated lugs) check out this prior post:

A Time Capsule...perhaps a one of...it happened again, gratitude

Finally and most recent is my 1987 Centurion Dave Scott Expert Ironman, the post for the pictures/discussion/details on this bike can be found at:

Christmas Came Early-1987 Centurion Dave Scott Expert Ironman-Intact/Complete

When I walk into my man cave/office and look around it is kind of a WTF moment followed by a smile. I wonder what will turn up next....?

Here are 2 amazing Instagram accounts to follow if you would like to see tons of pictures of boutique C&V Japanese frames and learn more about these builders:

Shinkai Cycle Shop

Niigata0252

Here are a few scans from the above account of a Watanabe randonneur from 1991:

Very well-regarded I believe. Better known for keirin frames, but road bikes do turn up. A bit more here (pix and links):

Nagasawa main

Track Supermarket has a couple Nagasawa frames for sale:

I’ll be taking a run at a red roadie from Nagasawa in a little over a week. That and a chrome-lugged DeRosa are my targets.

A list of high end Japanese bikes wouldn’t be complete without Alps (sadly now closed). Here is my Hagiwara-built custom 1962 Alps World Ace, Sanko drivetrain, 21.8 lbs and an absolute joy to ride.
