Just posted this in the "What road bike do you have" sticky, but thought I'd share some more photos and details here. Merlin Solis, Velocity Aerohead Rims with Speedcific hubs (built by Mike Garcia), Michelin Krylion tires, SRAM Rival group w/ 50/34 compact crank and 12/23 cassette, Speedplay x2 pedals, ITM Millenium stem, Thomson Elite seat post, stainless King Cages, Real Designs carbon fork/steerer, FSA K Wing carbon bars, Selle Italia Gel Flow Max Flite saddle, Easton bar tape. Thanks to James (ReedZ) for building it up for me, and giving me some pointers on wrenching while we were at it.

Yeah, I wanted something a little more upright since I hurt my back in April. Nothing too bad, but I was a bit too stretched on my 56 cm Trek, so I went for something that fit a little better, was a little more upright, etc. The stem is only a 7 degree rise if I recall correctly, but the frame geometry makes it seem greater. I may go for something a little more flat later on, but it seems to be working for me so far. The angle of the photo makes it look a little greater as well I think.
And yeah, lots of blue!

This will be here on Friday. I'm building it up with SRAM Force, Thomson post and stem, and I have a large selection of wheels, including Velocity Deep V's in black/red that match, Easton EA90SLs, and Topollino Revelation AC29s. Will be sweet, my first Ti bike. May change fork eventually, but we'll see.

I almost went with one of those Ti frames when I purchased a bike from the original GVH... and that was 3 years ago. So the Gary V Ti frames have been on the website for at least 3 years.

Apparently I had my blinders on as I was looking at the 60cm and 61cm only. I found 4 (55 & 57 Titanio Aero, 57 & 58 Titanio) and they look pretty neat. They're not superlight but at 4.x pounds they're not porky either.

I was going to go the leather tape route but I was afraid it would get funky fast with the humidity we have here in Miami. I'll test the cork tape for a bit ...but the brooks wrap is definitely an item I am looking at. If anyone has experience with the leather tape tell me about your impressions of it.

So, it's not 100% titanium, but here's my application for membership in Jay Leno's "More money than brains" club (of which he claims to be president):
I am so not yet worthy of this bike, but knowing it's there demands that I ride it as often as possible. And, while just seeing it makes me smile, riding it is amazing.

alright guys, sorry for the off topic but do you guys think a Ti seatpost is preferable to an aluminum like a thomson. Im not talking weight but 'feel'.. we all love the 'feel of our Ti's and im wondering if having an aluminum seatpost decreases that?

momod, a titanium seatpost would look cooler, that's for sure. Check out some of the MAXM stuff, which is the parent company to TITUS out in Arizona. They make a titanium/carbon fiber "lattice" seatpost that is sweet...

It's humid (or more accurately 'damp') here in the UK so I need to proofide the tape once every 500 miles or so, it gets lighter when it's drying out a little.
I did 5 hours in the Yorkshire Dales on Friday, not a cloud in the sky and some nice 20% climbs, the tape soaked up the sweat from my hands and stayed grippy. I've put some Fizik gel pads underneath so it's like piloting a Chesterfield chair!
It's the most difficult tape I've ever fitted though - but worth it.
