I'm getting a 2020 Surly Wednesday medium (or a 2022 if the sale falls through). In anticipation of possible changes I'd like to make, post your Wednesday!

I'm especially interested in alternate handlebars people like to use, luggage/accessory setups, and wheelsets for 3" tires. Explanations, modifications, frustrations, considerations, etc. all welcome!

I guess I beat everyone to the punch! I only had time to pick it up, so tomorrow, Wednesday, will appropriately be first ride day.
Here it is: my stock 2022 Wednesday.



Pedals will have to be installed tomorrow.

I cannot comment on all that, but will contribute this:
I kept the flat bars and no bar-ends because I do a lot of bushwacking and the ends get caught in the branches. I use a seat post mounted rear rack and a handle bar bag because the fat bike specific racks are too expensive.
I use flat pedals (Raceface Chester) so I can wear shoes appropriate for the temp and conditions

This is my first fatbike, but I've ridden before. I can't wait to get a bunch of miles on it to see how I want to go with racks, bags, bars, etc.!

I'm in the same boat with a Kona Woo that I got about two weeks ago. Fun stuff, looking forward to seeing how well I like a fatbike for summer use.

Congrats on that great looking Wednesday!

I rode my ICT for over a year or so before settling on a rack with bags this winter. I went with the Surly Disc Rack Wide and some Ortlieb bags. Now I can add commuting and grocery runs, so this thing is getting a lot more saddle time.

Main thing I added to mine were fenders. Front and rear are from Mudhugger. Downtube fender is some sort of SKS. I ride a lot of wet and mud with the fatbike, and this setup keeps me completely dry and mud-free other than my shoes. Other than that, a PNW Dropper, CF bar, 45NTH Van Helga tubeless tires (lost a lot of tire/tube weight there. Also swapped the Tektro brake calipers for some bb7s and swapped the 160 front rotor for a 180. Everything but the tires I already had laying around.

Not much too offer other than I had Pugs back in the day but sold it and have regretted that ever since. I've been eyeing a Wednesday and this thread is just pushing me towards one LOL.

No much to add, but I found a screaming deal on some Jones loop bars, so I added those. Pedals are old Shimano pd-mx15 which are working great! The rest is stock.

I'm itching to get some SunTour on, but haven't thought of anything yet.

Found a good deal on a used Brooks B17 - works great on the Wednesday! Also got a nicely priced 29+ wheelset for summer riding.


I really like the tan sidewalls.

In 29+ mode, the ride really changes! What a blast!

Still looking to add something SunTour. I have a set of suntour thumb shifters, but not sure if they'll go the whole 12 gears.
