Adidas cycling road shoes. FYI

Just a quick review. I did the search couldn’t find anything so…
I picked up a pair, I wanted lace up and a road shoe. I only have just over 50 miles on them and I’m liking them. Pretty true to size I’m a 13 in Adidas “normal” shoes and these are spot on D width. (I’m thinking about ordering the blue cleats from Yellowjersey in case I want to run my old pedals) the toe box is not like most of the other shoes on the market.

I’ll add to this later with more as mileage goes up….

Cheers,
Tony

They are order through Adidas only, I ordered on a Friday had a box by the door on Monday.
currently they have another “sale” on them normally $150 with promo code $105 including shipping.

They look the part, I have a few pair some as old as1975. All leather, an 80’s pair with the nylon sole and mesh uppers, the style with the side by side adjustable cleats. I even bought a spare pair of cleats.

time for another pair.

My first pair of clip less shoes were Adidas spd. They were very comfy and lasted a long time. I would definitely order a
pair of these, but, I have 2 pairs of spd-sl already, and I have found that most rides I prefer the spd type. The picture of your shoes show they are quite similar to the old Adidas spd I had.

Thanks for the heads up — I think that 30% sale runs through today, so I pulled the trigger. I don’t really need new shoes right now, but one of those things you “overhear in vintage bike circles” is that “these shoes aren’t ever going to be made again.”

I'm kinda tempted. My feet are narrow and Adidas running shoes are among the few that fit me properly. I hope the cycling shoes will have a similar fit. My Fizik road shoes are much too wide and don't fit properly unless I use a second layer of insoles and thicker socks.

I have some Velosambas on the way. Couldn’t help myself last week.

I have a pair of Adidas Kestral Pro BOA MTB shoes, I've found them to be well constructed and once I got the hang of it, I like the BOA system.

Thanks, 72fuji! Way back when my Adidas Eddys were the most comfortable I ever had, I rode them to pieces. Pulled the trigger, hope I guessed my size right. Wish they had the black Velosambas in my size…
