Movistar Documentary on Netflix

The Least Expected Day

I'll bet that when team management green lighted the documentary, they weren't expecting so much internal drama. Worth a watch.

I watched it this week, I loved the inside look at team workings and as a previous poster mentioned it has plenty to offer on the dynamics between riders and management.
I work in tv and was impressed with the access and editorial freedom they achieved, it's definitely worth a look whether or not you follow Movistar.
It's not just a fluff piece, that's for sure.

It is actually really good. It is not propaganda at all, as in it appears to be as open and honest as possible, also regarding the whole saga about Quintana.

Jumbo Visma also have a documentary on the same Vuelta, focusing on Roglic's win, though that is only on their website (afaik) and is just an hour long, but that's also pretty cool.

We just finished watching all the episodes a few days ago too. My wife doesn't cycle, but has always endured watching tours and other cycling races. She even was caught up in it.

We also just watched Icarus, on Netflix. It's been talked about here before, but I'd not gotten around to it either. It's interesting.

We watched "Eat. Race. Win." (2018) the other day. Another six episode documentary. It's more geared for foodies, and somewhat showcases what and how some teams eat while on grand tours. Also, there is some interesting behind the scenes footage with Orica-Scott that added to it.

I was more drawn to it for the cooking though. I've been the cook for the family pretty much since the first month of marriage. My bride didn't take it too well when I suggested that not using a red hot skillet to fry an egg would solve the burnt taste problem. I always loved to cook anyway and consider myself quite good at it.

Just checked into this forum for the first time in a few months and saw this. Wow! This should scratch the itch for cycling coverage. Maybe better than an actual race!

Nah don't move it! Was there really a fourth season out in March? I'll have to double check.

Looking forward to the Tour film in June(?)

I actually just checked my Netflix list today and no update for Movistar so maybe it's over?

That's what I thought but Google had listed a season 4? Maybe a glitch?

The question is, March of what year? I assume you are referring to season 3.

On the Escape Collective's Placeholders podcast Abby Mickey said that Emma Norsgard told her Netflix was filming the ladies Movistar team during their planning of the infamous Vuelta Stage 6 crosswind attack (aka Pee-gate). Unless they roll it into the next season, that suggests that a second new season is in the works already before the latest one comes out.
