Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

https://www.probikekit.com/, 16% off next order. That declines 2% every hour for the next 7.5 hours. 36 more minutes for the whole 16%, $40 max. I just purchased a set of the PBK special Zonda dark label wheel set, $360 w/shipping final price. The lowest price I found any other site is over $200 more.

An ebay seller has a bunch of carbon Kuota cranks for pretty cheap. Anyone familiar with the brand? I can't find much on the internet, looks like the company may have went out of business. I have an older bike and the bb30 cranks are pretty scuffed and worn and I think I'm going to pick these up, and it would chop about 1/2 lb off the bike. $179.99 and supposedly the original msrp was $499. The store has other bottom bracket options as well.

Never heard of Kuota.
I asked and
Kuota is Canadian and these cranks are made in Taiwan. But I just see bicycles on their site.
Also found another Kuota bicycle in Germany. Maybe they moved,as the one from Canadian is showing older models and they do look like they are OOB.

Did some more research and they are/were an Italian bike company. They made expensive high end bikes. I think I do remember Competitive Cyclist selling some of their stuff a few years back.

I ordered the cranks this morning, I think they'll be pretty nice.

Tanaka pump head for $24.99 at Soma.

It is hard to find these at all, and when you do, they are rarely under $50.

I've been watching that price and debating whether or not to replace my silca press on head with one of those for a while. I have 2 silca pumps. The one in my garage has the similar "hiro" head. The one next to my trainer has the press on and seems to slip off occasionally.

Not exactly a happy-happy hot deal, but Clever Training is shutting down and you can currently get 30% off any order with CLEVER30. I picked up an Elite Suito for ~$600 shipped. Last I saw, you could also get a Tacx Flux S for under $500 shipped. I would assume that this also applies to brands not normally discounted, like Garmin and Speedplay.

Yeah, Toda I ordered single sided Garmin Rally RK power meter pedals for 30% off...and just got the shipment notification from Clever. I also used topcashback(.)com and appear to have gotten 6% cash back ($38) on the (full-price) purchase price too.

Giant Contact SLR D-Fuse road handlebar (in 400 mm width only) for US $156.25:

Giant Contact SLR D-Fuse Handlebar | Giant Bicycles United States (giant-bicycles.com)

Pretty good deal for a light weight carbon handlebar, so I picked one up to try going slightly narrower.

Thank you. I've been wanting a nice set of bars for my NeilPryde. I've already received them.

Unfortunately I had to return mine to Giant as the inside of the left bar end was not properly finished. The edge of the left bar end was rough to the touch, and as I ran my finger around the edge I could lift a 3 mm wide strip of material up from the interior surface, raising a concern about further delamination in the future. No such issues with the right bar end, which was perfect and smooth to the touch. So do check yours. Good luck.

I'm sorry to hear. Mine are fine, and installed. Thank you for the heads up.
