Cervelo C3 or C5 with 650B experience?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cervelo C3 or C5 with 650B experience?

Has anyone here tried 650B wheels on a Cervelo C series frame? If so, would you mind sharing the tire width you were able to run?

My much loved C5 will accommodate a 32c tire. I have a 650B set (HED Ardennes LT Plus) sitting around and just need tires. Looking for your real life experience before I start experimenting with tire widths.

Thanks, in advance.

No first-hand experience to share, but I'm interested in this project. Dated but still useful website on measuring your frame for clearance here: https://www.bikeman.com/bikeman-blog...sion-guidlines

How rough are the roads that you ride on that you want more than 32c?

I run 32s on my C2 and clearance to spare. Had planned on getting 34 gravel tires and turning it into a gravel bike but I never did.

The gravel can get pretty chunky around here in NW Oregon / SW Washington…

Here is a local favorite: https://dirtyfreehub.com/adventure/oregon-x/yamhill-8/

If nobody chimes in with actual experience, you should be able to mount your tireless 650b wheels and get a pretty good idea.
