What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Been riding Domanes and a Madone. Picked up a Torelli with Veloce/Centaur gruppo. And now I have a new love for Italian steel.

Thanks! it is the Silca Mattone Seat Pack. Really like the bag and now have it on each bike.

Did you order that frame from AliExpress and how long did it take to ship to your door? Also what groupset are you planning to run? I'm looking at a climbing frameset from a seller that has your frame and it looks even better from your photos.

I ordered from Velobuild. model VB-R-218 with custom paint. I am going to run a SRAM Force groupset. I am waiting on spacers then I can complete the build.

The addiction to N+1 is biting me big time! I think I enjoy the building process just as much as riding. Each bike build is a challenge, but definitely fun!<br /><br />A BF member recommended a red saddle for my recent road bike build, so I got one:<br /><img src="https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikeforums.net-vbulletin/1200x800/red_saddle_0cfbdc0a63d9132f866ded146d31eeaa9f0c41d1.jpg"></img><br /><img src="https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikeforums.net-vbulletin/1200x800/saddle_red_02_ef17ce7566d71ddaeb923f903b9ed971a8b5d4ba.jpg"></img><br /><br />My gravel bike is also rolling<em> bi-polar</em> treads with a GK SS tire in the back and a GK SK tire in the front. I actually like the combo for mix-terrain riding:<br /><img src="https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikeforums.net-vbulletin/1200x800/jsf06861_46d73735edecd2f2d19cae95a02114d5aaa7a511.jpg"></img><br /><br />This is my recent "spare parts" bike that I'm assembling with an emphasis on budget. I've been thinking about putting together a durable 1x climbing road bike and I realized I have so many random parts laying around, I can finally build it! I'm just waiting on some budget disc brake calipers to arrive in order to finish it:<br /><img src="https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikeforums.net-vbulletin/1200x800/jsf06986_83f6c2397affdbfa80cabeb79c345ca1527472f8.jpg"></img>

All very nice-looking bikes. I don't have the skills to build a bike, but I could imaging how fulfilling it would be... good for you!

In true N+1 fashion, I recently picked up a 2020 Specalized Allez Elite E5. Covid special, was bought, stored in a garage, and never ridden. I paid $963 for this bike, with the stated purpose of it being my “trainer bike”. Of course I have a Tarmac for road riding, and a Diverge for gravel riding, so lets have an Allez for trainer riding.

Of course to make it mine it needs new handlebars, stem, pedals. And now I am going to take it on the road to see what it can do, so we need speed and cadence sensors.

This N+1 thing is expensive. :-).

Your bikes look (and probably ride) great. If we lived closer, I would try to convince you to work on my bikes, and build me one as well. Thanks for sharing!

I only intended to have 2 bikes, but I realized there were times when I wanted a bike a bit more sturdier than my road bike, but not as heavy duty as my gravel bike. Plus I had this frame laying around and had enough spare parts to build it out. I also like the challenge of building solid bikes within a budget.

I am just over 6ft. tall. I lowered the seat and am able to ride. I am not a road bike guy and will try to sell. as I prefer to putt around on my 1965 Schwinn Deluxe 3 speed Racer.
