What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hey Nofx,
I have the same bike as 2k2s4.
The only paint missing on mine in on the tips of the fork, where she goes in and out of the rack in the back of my truck. True, it IS too soon for that to be happening. But it's not bad.
Ive only had her a month though.

2002 Litespeed Arenberg. Full Ultegra. Spinergy SR3 Wheels. Michelin Pro Race tires. Shimano Flight Deck computer. Fi'zik Aliante saddle.

My friends give me a hard time because this is my first road bike. When they ask me what I will do when I want a better bike I tell them that I'll still be riding it 10 years from now!

Somehow my picture didn't upload.

Well being the tight-wad that I am it took me a while to decide to spend the money. My reasoning was that if I bought a cheap bike I would spend more money in the long run by upgrading it or buying a better one later. That's what happend with my first mountain bike. I bought an intro level bike and 6 months later I was buying a full suspension bike. I wanted to just avoid that this time around.

I understand the unemployed part. Although I'm employed now I figured I'd better buy the bike I want while I still have a job since I'm in the tech field.

If you look at the concrete along bottom of the house you can tell that the concrete is sloping.

Actually it does have a sloping top tube. It's a 48cm and with a frame that small to get something close to the right standover they have to slope the top tube when you stick with 700c wheels.

My other road bike is a custom frame by a frame builder in Ames, Iowa named Jeffrey Bock (made in '88). It also has a sloping top tube and it's Reynolds 753.

I guess it comes with the territory when you're inseam challenged.
