Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've got some new pre-skeleton Chorus brakes on the shelf waiting for a classic Italian bike build I'm planning (unbeknownst to the little missus). Nice brake set!

most recent purchase

New Kenda Kalientes for the MOTO and
The new Selle Brittania saddle. It was a 'have to have' as the MOTO is white with red lettering.

I just bought (early birthday present) a new Jamis Dakar Xam 2.0 mountain bike to compliment a different riding discipline other than mostly road riding.

I must say; after much research, Jamis offers the best bang for the buck out there as far as components are concerned. Full XTR/XT drivetrain, high end Fox suspension and hayes el camino brakes.

This mid 1980s Nishiki Medalist. Tange 1 frame, Suntour Cyclone M-II derailers, Suntour Superbe brakes, Sugino Aero Mighty cranks, Araya 700C rims. Now the rebuild process starts.
