I have a 73 Raleigh Super Course that was in the scrap heap of the local Co-op.
It is now a Double dingle speed.
Then there is my 72 Witcomb that has been Gugiezied
Next to my dingle speed 73 SuperCourse.
Installed a Stonglight roller bearing headset.

Since we're bumping this thread here's my '84 Univega Gran Rally. Bought it a few years ago with zero road miles. It spent it's entire life on an indoor trainer in Arizona. The tubular wheelset I bought on ebay was built up in '88 and never used.

Well, my current oldest is this 1985 Fuji Opus III with Superbee components. Although it's Superbe tubular wheels came off a 1981 bike:
But I used to own this 1972 Peugeot U-08 beauty also:
And this 1972.....ummm.....not beauty. LOL!

Winter is coming....
Can't decide a crankset.
Vintage Campy 52/42 or a VeloOrange 46/30.
Once decided, just need to string it up. Even got some vintage hoods on it since this pic.
Gran Sport ders + shifters, Universal brakes + levers, Ambrosio stem, 3T bars, tubulars.
Oh, and i need to get a 3D printed headbadge for this '59 tourer.

I'd say my oldest is my early 90's Trek 1100. Don't know the exact year of manufacture, but from what I could find they were made from around 1991-1993.

1977 Nishiki ONP. Frame was purchased new by my father, and it was his commuter for many years. He passed in '94, but hadn't been able to ride for years before that. I rebuilt it with full Superbe early last year (COVID project). It is a very nice ride - agile and smooth.

Of all the bikes I've ever owned and gotten rid of, this is the one I've wanted back. I rode one of those like crazy in the early 1980s and loved every minute of it.

Looks amazing! My Nishiki International was the first vintage bike I bought myself, probably about ten years ago now. A couple other bikes have come and gone since then, but I doubt I'll ever get ride of the Nishiki - love the way it feels.

Every time I come in this thread I find myself just staring at this bike. I think it's stunning. I think it's a combination of the color, the black accent lines, and the amazing job on the fenders. Easily one of my favorite bikes I've seen on this forum.

Would post a pic...brooks saddle added. Warm grey. Original owner. Would post a pic...but apparently you need to have 10 posts before you're real. :-)....or pic worthy. :-). This is post 5/10.

Picked this up several years ago because of the chrome lugs. Paid too much for it but it is what it is and now it is my oldest from 1972. The PO removed the original ST and DT decals. I have replacements.

Thanks for the kind words, off topic but the bike seat tube angle, at 72 degrees is the big difference I have finally stumbled upon. I am convinced all the set back seat posts, and theories, about fit have there limitations. Very long inseam needs to look elsewhere. Vintage is love!!!

1949 Maclean, original paint and pin striping. Neatest thing is it still has the original brass cycling club badge with the original owners name and address. I bought it from flipper, so technically 3 owners. I have most pretty much all of the period correct components to built it up properly. Nice thing about English bikes of this period is they would build them with whatever they could get their hands on. So no groups, or even specific counties of origin mattered.
