The Paramount PDG Series bikes have some interesting paint schemes. I like the Candy Blue with red splatter the best.

Not sure if it counts, as fade is from top to middle to bottom, but I love it (and may copy in future) it was one of jamesdak bikes IIRC, maybe he can post more details

Any of Trek's '90s fades; that Imron paint, man...
Zoe (Washburn), my badass off-pavement ride.
It took me a long time to realize this even is a fade, but it's very slightly darker towards the back. I've also lusted after Diamond Back's blue smoke.

Some great looking bikes here but I’m still looking for a Tigra or Mondia to show up. I like the Swiss fade paint best! Too bad for me, I don’t have one to show.

Pump is an old sun faded one that needed a refresh. Frame also needs some touchup work.

In the early '90s I had my Treviso resprayed to this ARCO LA84-inspired Italian tricolore. Had I known that a) C&V would become a thing and b) I’d hang on to it for 35 years, I probably wouldn’t have done this. I’ve since restored it to its original candy red Bordeaux colour.
Circa May 1993.
Evidently, I also didn’t know about taking photos from the drive side.

Hmmmm...... Favorite is tough but I can share some examples.
Man do I regret selling this beauty!
Different fade job where the top and bottom of each tube were a darker shade

I'm a bit surpised that we haven't havent seen an Arco LA84 livery yet. I believe it was the very first fade paint scheme. If not the very first, it was certainly the inspiration for the subsequent trend by virtue of the extensive exposure provided by Grewal's 1984 Olympic road race victory.

Not my favorate
I am liking thiis thread far more than I would have thought when I first saw the tittle. I was thinking that I might see lots of picture like my Schwinn Traveler below. When new, this probably looked pretty good. Fades were in and teal was in. Now, not so "in"
The fade and splatter paint jobs on the bikes posted are far better than I would have anticipated.
I like the bike, and it rides well. When I'm on the bike I don't see the paint job. I have thought about repainting it, however, noting says 1988 better than a teal fade paint job. It might eventually get repainted. It is a Schwinn. It is not rare or special.
