Not nearly as beautiful (or quite so empty) as these wonderful landscapes, but possibly one of my more beautiful and desolate rides of late...

It’s not nearly as empty as it seems. What you don’t readily see is a highly agitated prairie rattlesnake that had just struck at me as I flew by at about 20 mph

At the end of my good morning Jamaica ride, I always stop at the same little shop, for a cold Heineken, or two. This is looking towards home from that shop...

When looking across the above road, I see a lovely pond that offers a cacophony of life to view...

This is the lane to my place. I ride the lane at least twice each day, in Jamaica...

And, of course, the cottage road back in Canada...

Two from the Cascades 1200 in 2018.
Mt. Ranier National Park

Day 3 I think, probably heading back west over the Cascades.

I like this thread and something just struck me. The road ahead is a very big part of why I like riding bicycles so much. Not only is the next step in the adventure just ahead, but you will be going slow enough to actually enjoy the view and the cacophony of aromas as you sail away...

Like the overwhelming smell of eucalyptus as I rode up Haleakala

Or the dead silence being shattered by the sound of a raven calling on the Crater Lake Rim in spring as the snow just begins to release it’s grip on the high country..
