Your thoughts? Chicago bike show and Party?

Hey guys,

Some of you may know that the Winter Chicago Bike swap is being held at the Kane County fairgrounds in St. Charles IL. on February 13th 2022.
I know that is Super Bowl Sunday. I'll be busy that night so I was thinking about having a get together Saturday, the day/evening before at the Bike Garage where people can bring their favorite vintage road bike to show.

The idea is to get to know other forum members and have a little bike show as well.

I would provide a great meal and the venue in Naperville IL, Approx 25 minutes from the Bike swap location.

I'll have 37 or more choice bikes displayed plus whatever you guys bring.

I know some are just looking to get out and get their vintage bike "fix" before spring.

I know that many of you have a long drive to get here and of course many are way too far away.

Would you be willing to come? Please let know.

JJ.

@jjhabbs

If I left right now and started riding, I might be able to get there in time.

Or you could send a car for me, one that can haul at least a dozen bikes.

Hope it turns out well, plenty of time and local enough folks, you should be golden by the time it gets here.

I like that idea, I have a couple I could bring .... that is, if I'm not in Florida escaping the Central Illinois winter.

I like the sound of this. I'm inclined to ride to the thing from Lincoln Park, so weather is a factor. Pencil me in as a yes and I'll confirm when I got a better idea of that day's weather.

I hear ya! Even though there isn't a ride attached to this event I'm figuring out that time of year people would be sick of being inside and want to geek out on some bikes. LOL

Hopefully we can pull a few members together!

You probably already know that the location of my place is directly on the Illinois prairie path. Right were Route 59 hits I88. so if you pick up the trail in Berkley or Hillside or even further East you have an easy way here. Weather dependent obviously.

Native Chicagoan here, I'm very interested! What and where is The Bike Garage? I may need to come due to a possible meeting of a vintage motorcycle club I used to ride with, same weekend!
