if you do any sort of mumbo jumbo geometry on the track frame, it'd better be a curved seat tube. see yamaguchi, khs aero track, etc.

also what is the geometry looking like? just like the older bianchi pista with a straight blade lugged fork would be sick.

might require special machinery that they don't have access to or that would make the frame prohibitively expensive? just guessing

i doubt it...i'm sure they'd buy the tube prebent so it's just a matter of building the jig and welding it together

probably just cost more money though

it's possible— i'm just speaking aesthetically, that a curved seat tube makes more sense with the shaped DT & TT than does the triple-triangle design. keeps the chainstay shorter as well.

yeah, a seat tube indent like the 725tr would make the bike feel tighter too

I love the way my 725tr rides

Do you live to be an *******? Leader is obviously trying to get what the customers want into their hands.

so how is the geometry and fork of this bike looking to be? if there is no slight indent i could live without if the price is still fairly low if the geometry and fork on the teardropped isnt that bad.

SMOOTH WELDS

I know that you're inquiring about the steel frame as far as what customers desire, but please smooth the welds out on your al frames, they will look so sleek!

I just bought an leader aluminum frame. Most of the welds were smooth. Not Cannondale smooth, but definitely not all chunked up like people have made them out to be. Most of them were ground down nicely, except for the hard to reach areas like around the bottom bracket shell.

i found it hard to find an aluminum track bike without an integrated headset. I'd love to run a 1" steel threaded fork like a cannondale.

Did you get the 735? That's the only one with semi-smooth welds.

Hello Everyone,

leader Bike finally finished two designs. I am waiting on the final rendering and should have them tonight or the end of the weekend. We should be taking preorders from the leader site next week. We are very grateful for all your input and you will not be disappointed. Bike one model 722TS will be for commute + will have 55mm BB height for some tricks on the street. Second bike will be for the most part trick only and built to be as indestructible as possible. None of these two frames are for the velodrome although you could use them there. Both will be made of double butted 4130 chromolly steel imported from Japan. None of the material used on these frames come from China. For our aluminum minded customers rest assured Leader Bike will continue making the 725TR. None of these frames will have decals. You will get a stickers sheet you can use on your bike. Two fork options will be available for the 722TS. One will be a straight blade carbon fork with chromolly steel steer tube. Second option will be a lugged oversize blade chromolly steel fork. Both will be comfortable for commuting. All forks will be 1-1/8" threadless. You can always take the lugged fork to a shop and have them convert to threaded however we recommend not doing this on the new carbon forks. All the steel frames will take a standard headset like a Tange, Chris King etc. All 4130 parts will be 100% powdercoated for durability. Max tire size 700 x 28 on both framesets.

Leader will be at the premiere of the video Death-Pedal on Saturday at 9 pm and will show off the new 722TS sample. I will also post a picture of the built up bike on the weekend. The new lugged fork will be installed on the bike too. I love my job and this is the most exciting time for Leader Bike.

For more info on the premiere of Death-Pedal go to: www.death-pedal.com
