Centurion Prestige frame and 195 lb rider
I've read this is a very thin walled steel frame, something I've never tried. Am I too heavy at 195 for this 24" frame?

I’m not familiar with the specific bike but all high quality steel frames are thin walled. Ride and enjoy!

Big question is the model year. Mid 80’s Prestige models are pretty darn rare; there seem to be more of the late 80’s ones with the blue smoke paint scheme.

I am 210 and have a 25" Tange 1 frame from '89 that gets use on the road and sits on my trainer for cold months. It feels stiff enough and I've never thought it would break. Prestige tubing is .1mm thinner than 1 tubing. I wouldn't hesitate to ride a frame with Prestige.

I have a 1989 Centurion Prestige and i am 215 or so and never have had a issue with it, i would say go for it and please share some pics of the Prestige.

Of course, it can be ridden. However, depending on riding style and preferences, it may not be the OP's liking. It will likely be OK, if he's not particularly aggressive, strong or a gear masher. In fact, the added resilency may be a benefit. However, heavy riders wilth any of the previously mentioned traits may find the frame to have excessive flex and/or handling that is less than confidence inspiring.
