Downsizing collection and shop
I've decided I'd like to downsize considerably and move halfway across the country in a couple months, and I've got lots of bikes and things I can't practically take with me. I'm going to add more pictures and detailed lists, but making this initial posting to give you an idea and see if there's any interest.
The highlights:
6 bikes (55-57cm) currently setup for someone around 5'11, plus a couple of project frames, and about a dozen wheels. Mostly C&V.
Park workstand with steel base plate, truing stand, rolling cabinet full of bike tools, drill press.
Lots of boxes of parts, many NIB items from the 70's and 80's - this is everything from headsets to bartape to derailers to a massive collection of old spokes in original boxes. Most of the bits are mid-range, but there's some Campy and Dura-Ace and Superbe mixed in too.
I have essentially everything you'd want for a small bike shop focused on C&V bikes and I'm looking to sell all of it except for a handful of bikes I'll keep and a basic toolkit to take on the road. Pricing this is tough, but I'm thinking $2500 would be a fair place to start, with lots of room for negotiation since you'll need a small moving truck to take it all and that might cost a bit depending on how far from Colorado Springs you'd be taking it. I'm looking to have it all gone by the end of January 2020, so there's plenty of time to make arrangements.

Barnett Bicycle Institute is in Colorado Springs.
Maybe they have a Classifieds board at the school and will allow you to post an ad.
New classes start regularly there and budding mechanics might like to obtain tools at a good price.

They'd better have a truck load of money OR be coming from their recent California real estate sale. All of the Californians are moving to Colorado and driving the real estate through the roof.

Thank you. Some of my reasons are simply personal, individual things to do with work and family, but I'm also willing to go because I've fallen out of love with the Springs. I genuinely love this city and having access to big open space parks and the mountains, but find the sprawl deeply depressing. Apparently most people here want to live in suburbs with massive copycat houses where you can't go anywhere without driving a car - and as someone who wants nothing to do with that lifestyle I feel increasingly out of place and unwelcome with each passing year.

Regarding Colorado Springs, I think I understand what you mean. Coincidentally CS was influential on the development of the DFW region where I live. Around the 1980s several local governments were prospecting Colorado Springs for leaders to revamp our peculiar city manager driven urban areas. Even now many Texans don't understand how their own local government works and they place too much emphasis on mayors and council reps, while overlooking the influence of city managers and county court commissioners.
Off the top of my head, recalling from when I was a newspaper reporter here, we swiped a couple of city managers, a police chief, a fire chief, and a few other administrators who honed their chops in Colorado Springs.
On the one hand, that influence has been good for the region economically. But it comes with urban and suburban sprawl, gentrification of areas of historical value to natives but of little interest to newcomers, and an overall change in the tone of the area.
But it is what it is.
