There are no bikes better from a performance perspective than modern off-the-rack stuff the new Tarmac SL7, a Santa Cruz Bronson, a Cervelo Aspero. I love those bikes. Still, there are bikes that are fetish property for me:

Don’t think so, if I understand your grammar.

That aside, I have no interest in living in a elder drool state. In fact, I consider that existing, not living. Saw two grandparents end up that way. No, thank you.

I've seen pictures of bikes that just have fairing over ~ the top half of the wheels. The thinking is that the part of wheel that's travelling against the wind makes much more drag, so that's the important part. Might be right, I've never seen any testing.

The 2 wheel streaminers that run at battle mountain are amazing (and completely impractical) machines. The current record holder doesn't even have a visor or window to look through, just a tiny pinhole camera! Their drag/aero sensors are sensitive enough that a bug splat is recorded as drag (and not just initial impact).

Onesto | Kirk Frameworks

Been staring at this bike for two days now.

I'm in Southern California and drive the Pacific Coast Hwy regularly. I always take notice when I see someone on a touring bike regardless of the make/model.

Titanium road bikes make me drool. Moots Vamoots DR.

Also, old school full suspension mountain bikes make me drool. Turner Flux 27.5.

About that paint job...

Man I was pretty drooly over last year's Kona Libre DL specifically for that super clean copper paint job. Not necessarily even my speed of must have bike, but some of Kona's paint choices are on point lately.

Realizing I can't really afford the Moots and Turner that I posted earlier, I'd settle for this Motobecane Le Champion Titanium Disc Pro

And this Kona Process 134 27.5

I would love to have an Azub TiFly 26 trike. It would seem to be the Caddy of all trikes.

A Rodriguez Six-Pack. I can't find an exact setup that I'd want
so, this example will have to do. Mine would be outfitted
differently, with 50mm slick tires and have a titanium frame/fork.

If you go over to the Bike Forums "Classic and Vintage" forum and click on "Search this Forum" on the right side of the page you can get a lot of results using "Dick Power" as your search term.
