There are bikes that it's possible on a one sided fork,...the Halfway isn't it.
That's more like a Cannondale "Lefty" fork, as found on the Hooligan MiniVelo,...
This image of the Halfway's non-drive side might help you see it better,...

I recently did a multi-modal adventure with my Halfway. Some of the comments and threads in here were very helpful (I hadn't used the carrying bag before). Once I get ten posts, I'll show you what I did.

Well, my folding bike is a Giant, and it has Halfway as part of the graphics, but it is a conventionally-framed bike, unlike the true Giant Halfway.
There were a few actual Giant Halfways for sale, but the FD 806 was within walking distance, so that's what I bought.
