Which one did you get. I have the pro shop model PRS-3 OS-1 with the steel base plate, and it's fantastic.

I went with the PCS-9... the cheapest afaik, and Amazon had free shipping.

I really just need the bike to be off the ground.. on my third build, and i figured this would be a good investment for the future..

..and thankfully, no more of this:

yes, that's a bike rack attached to the back of a dresser....

This will allow me to remove a track cog from a wheel using my bench vise.

One of those stupid expensive, but stupid effective EAI Super Track Tools from Scrod. If you can't unscrew even the tightest cog with this thing, it's time to look for another sport. A beast of a tool.

traded my rb-021's to a CL dood for his b-123's. went from one pair of bars that looked good but weren't that comfortable for daily commuting to another set of bars that look good but definitely won't be that comfortable for daily commuting. these ones are shinier though. got a DA chainring from the same guy though, so that's cool. 51t is a lot of tooth.

The krampus is the 5th rigid mtb I've owned...I'm pretty used to a rigid fork off road...rockhopper 29ss, '92 stumpy, surly 1x1, specialized carve SL and now the krampus. It rides really well rigid, but I did an experiment yesterday and a 15mm thru axle fox holds the knard/rabbit hole combo with room to spare. I figure "why not?" I'll give it a go! In my head, a 100mm travel fork on a 12psi 29x3.0 tire should ride like the cats pajamas. But we shall see!

Even in the case of wheel flex?

It may also make it feel like a sug up front.

Even with wheel flex....guys have been running fox forks (the only ones that have tire clearance) since they came out....and most everyone that did so loved it.

Woah that's cool. I tried a 9mm qr fox f29 and it wouldn't clear, but the 15mm thru worked fine. A Reba doesn't even come close to fitting....

It's 66cm to the top of the seat tube nubbin. The c-c measurement is actually 61cm, toptube c-c 60.5cm. This means that the more common "60" and "58" sizes were quite small.

Leuky - thanks for the info. I talked to another Cannondale expert and was told the same thing. Apparently the give-away is the "Made is USA" decal. Repros have a solid silver background while original ones were variegated.
