I was thinking the same:
"you can pay by cash at pick up or netspend prepaid card transfer to my card. purchses are civered by fraud protection for thise with concerns.as for shipping I would ship with bike flights or wait for a pick up at my door when i got back home. I can take netspend its a credit card payment processor and offers purchase protection like paypal."

Could be an interesting project for someone....but it was previously sold on LFGSS wherein the seller detailed that it was cracked and then repaired...no mention of that in the Kijiji ad

Prettier Not In Pink (Cable Housings)?
1991 Marin Muirwood - $500 (Durham)
"Found this awesome frame one day on CL and built it up as my single speed workhorse. Currently I am running 1x1 but aspirations for a 1x7. I am running the original 26" wheels with new gum wall 2.3"x26" tires. Large front Wald basket makes for a great addition for hauling. A nice upgrade would be the matching rear rack as this frame does allow for one making for even more storage and hauling capabilities. Retro handlebars with tektro brake levers, new bottom bracket (sealed), new single speed crank with 42t chain ring (49t included), extra fixed cogs (20,18,16), MKS lambda pedal (my personal favorite), and Shimano BR-CX 50 brake. I'll through in full set of pink cable housing as well as neon green housing and cable. Small yellow bag includes but lights and helmet picture aren't. $500obo"

^Posted that one earlier. Cool ride-
Also in Chicago is this Basso in the 1984 Olympic ARCO paint. I have an ARCO scheme Basso as well but lower Columbus tre-tubi, no chrome. The sale one here is described as SL and has chrome accents. Appears clean.

Pristine 1989 Schwinn 974 Aluminum Road Bike
I. Am. Smitten.
Beautiful bike, beautiful color, beautiful condition, fantastic price. The want is off the charts right now.
Two hour and forty minute drive? Not a problem. What is the problem? Yakima, the Cascades (namely the eastern slopes where Yakima is), and thus the passes are going to be absolutely slammed with multiple storms tomorrow through...pretty much forever it looks like. Seattle gets constant rain (grrrrrr), and eastern WA gets lovely yet transit-debilitating snow. This weekend, with a Camaro??? Best look at the cameras and see how it's plowed (or not). I really want this, so this may have to wait due to weather. Forget a too-large Ciocc, I want a(nother) Schwinn!

Isn't it?!? Though I know its color lends itself to putting on some sweet modern parts (black rims, black components) which I do like doing, I would keep this original as it is entirely so (or at least original spec). New tires as the current ones are toast, and maybe swap the bar tape to black, and boom. Done.

I'll be interested to see if the ebay sale actually happens (listing ended with a "sold" price of $375), or if it will be cancelled by the seller. The ebay price did not meet his CL expectations (this time, or the previous time when he listed it with an opening bid of $700/no bids), either before when I posted the CL asking price of $1100, or even now with the still posted ad and price of $650.

Grand Touring Mixte
I listed it because there was a lot of interest in mine when I found it a few weeks back. This is a little rougher and needs bars but $85 is a nice price so might be worth a drive
