It is weird how much this TV's power consumption varies. Netflix HDR? Torching at 450 with modern eco mode for Drive to Survive. Ditto for HDR Disney+. Hulu and NFL+ are 260-280. Broadcast and SDR gaming are 200. Outer Range on Amazon? 150. It's a dim show but nothing else has been nearly that low.
Love this thing though. I keep thinking I see uniformity issues only to realize it's a bit of reflection on a dim spot.

Get the calibration settings for that model on line, then set it up correctly. If you don't know how to do it, tell me the model and I'll look them up for you.

Take it from me - maintain a true 65mph average (meaning including the pit stops you must make) is hard in the southwest. It would be much harder in other parts of the country, I assume. You can indeed climb from there to 67-68 if you abuse your body, but you're not going much more than 1000 miles before you need to stop lest you become a hazard. Averaging 75mph including stops...
Good example, in other words.

It does have some blooming, but it's mostly on things like credits and the Netflix logo. Actual content, even night content, is good with LD High. Most of the "blooming" is baked into the original image with it cutting off HARD at the black bars. I'm sure a cinemaphile would have issues, but it is far better than anything I've seen. Funny thing is, the old TV in front of the trainer with no LD was nicer in some ways about things like that - "good" static contrast means no blooming around Eleven in mindscapes, but of course it's worse in every other way. And most of what I watch is almost entirely full-field lit, either football or studio shows or video games.
Model is a 75Z9J.
Google TV is crap compared to Roku, though. That's the one thing I'm not liking.
Also Outer Range is amazing. Not that I think anyone anyone else here has listened to Archive 81, but it's a better show of that than the actual Archive 81 show.

I once did 240 miles from my house to the Galleria in Houston in 2:30, but that was very early in the morning, had a radar detector, and my wife slept the whole way. I wouldn't be able to do it for much more than that if I ever wanted to try it again.

Can't do it all day like that.

It's the on thing that would make Dallas nicer - even just that couple of hours shorter would make the drive probably half as hard.

Good god no man. I will do more later - right now it's Standard, Eco Low, LD High, and set brightness as per background and proximity to bedtime. My memory of the initial setup is that it even makes you intentionally select torch mode.

Indeed. Austin to Boulder is juuuuuuust at the edge - wouldn't be able to get to FC. Can show up starving and dehydrated and recover for a day, but couldn't do multiple like that.

Back when I was commuting between Philly area and Syracuse, I blew out two tires and bent a rim, hitting a submerged pothole at around 75 mph on the turnpike.

I've concluded that some of the biggest morons in the area are those shopping for a guitar on FB marketplace.

Had that happen to me several months ago. Luckily it didn’t knock me off, but it did scare the **** right out of me. Prolly should have gotten the colonoscopy done that afternoon. Wouldn’t have need to drink that other stuff.

I've had to block several that responded to my ads. The ad says "No trades." Half those responding want to trade. The other half offer less than half the asking price.
People seem to think they are entitled to take your stuff for however little they want to pay for it. But, I do have to consider the people I'm dealing with as most likely not being the most sophisticated or sober in the universe.

My burning question of the day, at least in my mind, is whether my R7000 11-speed cassette will fit on the hub that my Sora 9-speed cassette occupies.
I find answers both ways, and I know that the best way to know is to take off the Sora cassette and try the other, and I'm working towards that.
Plan is to change the Sirrus to my 105 drive train that I took off the Domane.

I have an old lawn mower i’ve been trying to get rid of, would you be willing to trade?
