I'd say smoking hot. I am curious about the amount of time and cash put into it. Really neat project for challenging and keeping one's self occupied.

Fantastic that things like these are still being put together by people in the solid state world we live in!

This is nothing new. Steam power was employed as early the first commercial velocipedes in the 1860s. And there have been numerous attempts during the interim. The attached 1869 Roper seems to be a better concept, keeping the engine mass central and low, with the funnel behind the rider. Combine it with the smaller engine of the current edition and you'd have something more practical. The novel concept on the Roper is that it incorporates rear wheel drive, decades prior to the safety bicycle.
