SGV Bicycles?

Anyone been to the SGV Bicycles website or store? Are these guys legit? Their selection of components seems off, and their grammar's off too. Granted they're in California but, still. And you can only pay with 'shop pay', paypal, gpay and facebook pay? Odd.

Apply this test and see how they score.

Phone Number: Is there a phone number prominently displayed on their home page. Red Flag if there is not.

Address: Do they have a physical address posted? If not Red Flag. If they do have an address, what does it look like on Google street view or satellite map? Red Flag if it doesn't look like a business.

Inventory: Do they have a lot of hard to find stuff or too good to be true pricing? Red Flag if they do.

Business History: When you Google the business name with the words review and complaint, what do you find? Little footprint or a lot of negative reviews or BBB complaints is a red flag.

Payment Method: Crypto, Venmo, Pay Pal friends and family, etc only? Red Flag.

Site Language: Do you notice language errors or irregularities? Red Flag if there are errors and oddities.

Yea, I usually apply that to other sites as well, but it's mixed on this one; there's actually a few good reviews which I know can be by their shills but still. I'm not going to tempt this one.

Again like I say every time if you are already questioning it why would you bother? If you can't go into the shop and check them out and get a feel it probably isn't worth it. If you have to buy stuff online make sure they are a known and trusted brick and mortar shop that people have heard of.

We get it, you work in a shop and have a vested interest in shop traffic, but claiming it probably isn't worth it if you can't put a hand on an item is just flat out goofy.
You have purchased a ton of stuff without having put a hand on it first.

I just bought an SE Lager from them for $399 + tax. A fantastic deal. And yes, they are an actual, factual, brick-and-mortar bike shop located in an out-of-the-way office park in La Puente, CA. I liked the service, the assembly. The shop feels more like a direct-to-consumer place rather than a big splashy retail storefront you'd see in a shopping center. They sell mostly FG/SS and have a strong clientele. Instagram: @SGVbicycles

In the situation we have here where we are considering an online retailer with questionable history that is why I said what I said.
