Because of a dumb choice, here I am.
Mornin all. Bit about me. Im from south central Pennsylvania born n raised. For a living i own n operate a custom butchershop. And i enjoy living a simple lifestyle.
How ever due to a stupid choice here i am. Haad a run in with a telephone pole on way home few months ago after way to many beverages. So now i am a bike commuter. Have a Quintana Roo Kilo tri bike and a Orbea Onix road bike. Round trip 32ish miles. Started out averaging 11-12mph and now 16-17mph. My goal is to get as close to the 28mph average it took me in car. And other goal is to do a single day trip seeing all 14 covered bridges in county I live in. There’s 14 of them n i figure it be 120-140 mile loop.

Hey Jedneck. I'm also from South-central PA (Hummelstown-Hershey) and do dumb things. Nothing that gets me in trouble with the law, but things that get me in trouble with my health and wife. Welcome to these forums and browse around. And let me know where I can get a premium local steak.

I commuted for many years. It kept me happy and in good shape. Hope you work stuff out and never quit riding.

It'll probably take an e-bike to make that 28 MPH commute happen. You can ride really fast, but stoplights will kill your average speed...

The joys of country living. NO STOP LOGHTS. I have done 2/3 of trip at 25.8 average. There is 2 climbs that whoop my arse n kill average for whole trip
