Addiction 2022.2

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I know they make eyedrops that can treat this, I may have to try some. Or else wear the cheaters around my neck like a stethoscope.

give up the contacts, get bifocals and thank me later.

I use them. I have 2 of the $85.00 2 of the $65.00 and 2 of the $40.00. They work fantastic for me. The $85.00 have a thicker pad I use for long rides. The $65.00 dollar shorts are the $40.00 with an extra 1.5 inch gripper hem on the legs.

Buddy of mine has a Wahoo, there is something off with the elevation on them- we had a 5500 foot ride once that registered 1500 for him and close to accurate for the rest of us.

My youngest daughter graduated HS a couple of weeks go, and has just 5 more weekends of travel softball tournaments. At the end of Sept, she will be off to college. It's going to be a very different lifestyle for my wife and I. For the last 10 years, softball has dictated the schedule of our life pretty much every day, all year long - practices, lessons, games, travel, etc. It's been an exciting journey, and I'm bummed it's coming to an end, but I am looking forward to slowing down the pace of our life a bit...and riding my bike more...and building some stuff...and maybe playing music again...
congrats on your youngest graduating

recall that time - for us it was the start of the start of empty nest

but we were fortunate to have the youngest around for the summers - unlike his older brother who was basically gone / never returned after he started fresh year of college

there are some benefits of course - with no sports / travel ball / activities etc more time for whatever - including bikes

It will only be totally empty for a little while. In Nov., we are expecting our first grandchild. I'm looking forward to weekend afternoon naps snuggling the little one.

Not for me, ever. I have a Greyhound, whose nose is just at bum level. And cold. And wet.
